2026/2027 STUSU Executive Team

Colby LeBlanc

Hello everyone!

My name is Colby LeBlanc (he/him) and I am beyond excited to be serving as your STUSU President for the 2026-2027 academic year!!!

I am majoring in Human Rights and English and minoring in History. I have been involved with STUSU since the beginning of my third year as an At-Large Representative and have held many positions during my time at STU such as Vanier Hall house council, Campus Tour Ambassador and Atlantic Human Rights Centre volunteer. Finishing my STU career as President of the Students’ Union is exciting but also bittersweet.

As President, I am in charge of overseeing and leading the students’ union, helping the VPs with their portfolios and meeting with senior administration and representing the student body.

I cannot wait to welcome all of our incoming first year students and returning students back to campus and for this to be another amazing academic year!

If you ever have any questions or ideas, please reach out at any point and do not be afraid to stop me on your way to class and chat with me.

Kate Haché

Hi everyone! 👋

My name is Kate Haché (she/her) and I am your Vice President Administration for this year!

I oversee the financial sustainability and governance of the Student Union. I work towards enhancing student lives through our health and dental coverage, and by supporting our Clubs and Societies. I know that student supports come in all shapes and sizes!

I have been involved with the Students’ Union since my first year, serving on multiple committees and then as your Student Representative on the Board of Governors. I am excited to join the Student Executive Council in my last year to give back to the many students who have supported my academic journey!

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out! My goal this year is to continue to foster engagement and community on campus, so I am more than happy to chat anytime about getting involved, student issues, or just about your semester.  .

Adetomiwa Adeyemi

Hi everyone! 👋🏾

My name is Adetomiwa Adeyemi (she/her), but please call me MIWA. I am indeed grateful and honored to serve as your Vice President Student Life for the 2026-2027 academic year. 🎉📖

I'm an international student from Nigeria currently pursuing a major in Criminology and Criminal justice, and minors in Sociology, Digital Media and Creative Arts.

In this role, my goal is to make STU a safe space where students feel at home away from home. Whether it’s through events and activities, cultural celebrations or other student-led initiatives, I am committed to helping our campus reflect the energetic, diverse, and close-knit community that STU prides itself on.

You’ll usually catch me behind the scenes of your favorite campus events or making sure vital student services like the Community Food Smart Program, Safe Ride, and Emergency Bursaries are running smoothly. I’m also pretty easy to spot since I try to stay fashionable at all times 💃🏿

I’m extremely passionate about helping others, so please feel free to reach out anytime with anything you need. Let’s have a fun and memorable year together!✨💚

Kyra Lustig

Hi everyone!

My name is Kyra Lustig (she/her), and I’m excited to be your Vice President Education for the 2026–2027 academic year! ☕️💼

As a proud Métis student, it’s a true privilege to represent our vibrant and diverse academic community at STU. I believe that our unique backgrounds and experiences enrich our learning environment, and I’m committed to ensuring that every voice is heard in our discussions about education and student rights.

I’m currently pursuing a major in criminology, and I have a passion for human rights and law, politics, and society. When I’m not in class, you’ll likely find me around campus either chatting with anyone and everyone or catching up on TikTok trends in between studying. I love connecting with fellow students and hearing your thoughts on how we can improve our academic experience together.

My goal this year is to foster open communication and collaboration among all students. Whether you have concerns about your courses, ideas for new initiatives, or just want to share how your semester is going, I’m here for you. Please don’t hesitate to stop me or reach out, I genuinely enjoy engaging with all of you and making our community even stronger!
