Open Position(s):

Activities Coordinator:

The St. Thomas Students’ Union is currently accepting application for the position of Activities Coordinator.

Terms of Employment:

Part-time, 10 hours per week starting January 28th, 2019 – April 5th, 2019 with potential for renewal in subsequent academic years.


The Activities Coordinator will be responsible for:

  1.  The coordination and general management of all social activities, including organization, bookings, space and license applications, set-up, good conduct, and take-down and clean-up of all activities;

  2. Cooperate with all individuals responsible for fundraising activities;

  3. Be Chair of the Activities and Events Committee;

  4. Organize and execute one (1) activity per month during the Fall and Winter Academic Semesters;

  5. Maintain ten (10) office hours per week; and

  6. Perform additional duties within reason as requested, provided they do not exceed the hours of employment.

  7. Qualifications:

The successful applicant must possess the following:

  1. Ability to work independently and apart of a team

  2. Excellent time management skills

  3. Strong organizational skills

  4. Prior event planning experience will be considered an asset

  5. Be a student of St. Thomas University
